Mabel has got her hands full of computer paper covered in amazing crayon drawings in the same vein as these and you had better appreciate them. Mabel is a fantastic artist and she will not hear a word otherwise.
She first holds up one of a yellow triangle with a top hat, bow tie, and one eye.]
This is Bill Cipher. He is a giant jerk and totally not cool. But you guys are probably dealing with him now because of course every time he comes into our lives he has to be a giant buttface.
Mabel... [Dipper's voice comes from behind the camera, and it's a warning tone because come on, sis, take this seriously.]
Okay, okay. Bill's a dream demon and he comes from where we come from. We're pretty much professionals in dealing with him. But we think he's the reason everything's been going so cuckoo around here today. [Mabel sifts around in her paperwork before she pops out another picture. It's clearly supposed to be her in a... giant pink bubble.] This is me in a human sized hamster ball! Bill gets into your dreams and stuff and he tries to mess with you. He'll give you nightmares, but here's the best thing about the dreamscape! He can't actually hurt you and you have just as much power as he does when you know what's going on. So the first time, Dipper came to the rescue and we used stuff like the hamster ball and kitten fists to beat him! Kitten fists are amazing. They're cute and fuzzy, but an awesome projectile because they bite--
Mabel, come on. Tell them the important stuff.
Oh. Yeah. Got it! [She holds up a third picture of a human shape shaking hands with a triangle.] So the dreamscape is totally cool and we can totally kick his butt there, but he's also kinda really good at getting you to make deals with him. So like he could totally take over somebody's body and then almost get somebody else they care about to do something super terrible or else he'll ruin their play but the power of sibling love can protect them and also knowing each other super wel--
[The camera turns back on Dipper to a "hey, I wasn't done!" from Mabel, but she peeks in over his shoulder after a second anyway.]
Look, the important thing is here that if it is Bill, and we think it is, you can't under any circumstances make a deal with him.
He's a jerkbutt.
He uses everything you say against you, and even if you do beat him, he can do irreparable damage to the stuff and people around you! It always seems like a really good idea, but it never, ever is. No matter what he offers you, don't take it! Trust me on this one.
He knows better than anybody else.
Just everybody stay calm, and stay away from yellow triangles in your dreams. None of it is actually real. We'll figure out where he is and we'll stop him, so--
Don't worry and leave it to us! We're awesome at this. [Mabel gives a giant thumbs up and wraps her arm around Dipper's shoulders with a confident grin.]
... What she said. We've got this. [If only he looked so certain. Then, hastily added:] And if you see anybody who looks like me but is acting weird, like pouring soda in his eyes or anything like that, it's not me! So be really careful around him and walk away and call us, okay? Just... just in case.
